"I generally oppose the occurrences of abortion. I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone who wishes to see boundless abortions in our world. I could not possibly imagine the painstaking decision and certainly wish we lived in a harmonious world where following through with a pregnancy was consistently and always the most viable option. However, it is not the reality. There are circumstances where an abortion procedure is critical to the health and well-being of the mother. I do not support any restrictions to accessing professionally directed abortions."- Ryan Fecteau
"I oppose the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. I support working off of the Affordable Care Act to extend coverage to more families. Jesus Christ never sought profit when providing for the sick and the poor. Healthcare ought to be a basic human right."- Ryan Fecteau
"I oppose public education funds being used for private education."- Ryan Fecteau
"I support this 3% tax on individual Maine taxable income above $200,000 in order to relieve municipalities of educational costs; thus, eliminating a heavy reliance on property tax increases."- Ryan Fecteau
"I oppose any gaming proposals that does not provide Maine’s tribes with their due. It is abhorrent to think that a gaming proposal would be approved outside of a reservation when Maine’s tribes have been asking for years to be allowed the opportunity to run gaming operations."- Ryan Fecteau
"I support increasing Maine’s minimum wage. Fr. John Ryan, a theologian and fellow alum of my alma mater wrote in his dissertation “A Living Wage”, “On what ground is it contended that a worker has a right to a decent livelihood... The man who is not provided with the requisites of normal health, efficiency, and contentment lives a maimed life, not a reasonable life…Furthermore, man’s personal dignity demands not merely the conditions of reasonable physical existence, but the opportunity of pursuing self perfection through the harmonious development of all his faculties. …”- Ryan Fecteau
"I oppose such legislation."- Ryan Fecteau
"I strongly support public funding for Planned Parenthood."- Ryan Fecteau
"I oppose such a requirement."- Ryan Fecteau
"I support the legalization of recreational marijuana with strong regulations and revenues allocated for social services such as education and healthcare."- Ryan Fecteau"
"I support Question 3 which would move our state closer to the prevention of avoidable tragedies. In many ways, preventing firearms from being in the hands of folks who should not own them is a pro-life issue."- Ryan Fecteau
"I support such action. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) said of gay persons, “They [gay persons), as is true of every human being, need to be nourished at many levels simultaneously. This includes friendship, which is a way of loving and is essential to healthy human development. It is one of the richest possible human experiences.” I have never told a friend they can’t use the restroom. I would expect the same from our public schools."- Ryan Fecteau
